In the heart of Beijing’s financial district, the Beijing Financial Gate was designed to form a destination business hub providing facilities including 29.000m2 of retail and food & beverage outlets, 112.000m2 of office space, 48.000m2 of serviced apartments and a 63.000m2 600 room five star luxury hotel including spa, conference, banqueting and business facilities.
The entire project is constructed over a super basement allowing the street level and access to all ground floor circulation areas to remain the realm of the pedestrian. The main external circulation route, accessed from the signature gateway building takes the form of a central boulevard, complete with lush green areas, street furniture, waterways, reflection pools and traditional Chinese tea houses. This is flanked on either side by double storey retail, restaurants cafes and bars offering internal and covered outdoor seating. These facilities continue perpendicular to the main boulevard along secondary access routes between the individual buildings thereby linking all major vertical transportation lobbies servicing the offices, the apartments and the hotel. The main hotel entrance is aligned with the signature gateway building maximising visibility from the street.
